Guys, are you a PhotograFreak?

As you can see in my title, my question is are you a photography lover? Do you love photography?

I love photography. I'm glad that MMU offer a photography subject. It's not because of the good and professional lecturer for sure, it's because that I got the chance to have my very first DSLR in my life.

DSLR - Digital single-lens reflex camera

I've never thought about that before. Seriously, never. Thus, I'm glad that I could own a DSLR. This machine is so awesome to be explored. You will love it when you start exploring it. Photography is a subjective thing. One might loves where things are captured by this magical machine, one might not loves it. In my words, doesn't matter it's a compact camera, a phone camera or a DSLR, camera is a machines that capture some awesome or lovely moment in your life. It is fun to have it on your hand. Whenever you go, whenever you travel, it always your best friend. I believe that everyone is a natural photography. Everyone has different point of view, has different vision. They see things in different way. This make us unique.

A picture tells a thousand words.

I agree with this statement. But yet, it can be a word for someone, it can be a thousands for someone. This depends on how one interpret the picture. Everyone thinks differently.

I'm a photografreak. Freak that like to play with its DSLR. Yet I'm still a beginner and a learner. You don't need to have a great tools to capture things as you've already have one, your eyes. I heard from someone, there is no good or bad photos. For me, a photo that makes one stop and ponder is a good photos.

Those are some thought I shared with you guys.

What about you?
Do you think you are a photograFreak?

p/s: photografreak is just a term I created for those who likes photography, again, no offence.

Cheers~

  1. Photography
I should confess that photography is one my biggest passions. Since I was a little kid I had special feeling about camera.
My dad used to have a beautiful little rangefinder camera belonging to 70s from canon and that was the best thing which I could think of to own, until I have got older and get the permission to use that camera, so basically I spent most of my pocket money during that time to buy film and print picture which was so much fun.
The interesting thing about photography for me is by passing the time I feel more passionate about photography and taking pictures.
For sure MMU photography course was the big opportunity to learn a lot about photography and special thanks to my good lecturer.
But recently some thing sad happened to my camera, last year I lost my lovely, full frame camera because of water damage and since that time I can’t afford to by another one. I’m sure you don’t want to know how the feeling was. So I was left with the small compact but I wish I can get another one after graduation.
I think you can judge yourself whether I am photografreak or no.

  2. Oh, such a classic one, film based camera.

For sure you will have another one after graduation, and hope that it won't have the same thing happen on it like the previous one.

I can tell, yes, you are a photografreak.

  3. So sad to know that.
Camera is part of our life.
It's so expensive and so functional.

It's a good things to save our memories forever.
Thanks for the invention of the camera and make it so common in the world now.
The best of the camera is it can save our sweet memories visually. We can save all the photos for our grandchildren.

I like your "everyone is a natural photographer".
Hold a camera in hands make us observe things around. See different perspective of things.

I don't think I'm a photografreack but I wish I'm part of it. I love to see the photographs but I'm lost in taking photographs by my own.

  5. I like photos. I like seeing photos and appreciating famous photographers' masterpiece, and yes, a photo tells better than a thousand words. However I don't like to shoot photos myself even though I am a design student now.

  6. I am glad I have my own DSLR camera too.
I love to take photos even though my photography skill is not good enough but I will try harder.
I love to take the photos of my friends and all the memorable events that I attended but DSLR is consider heavy for me to bring along so I miss all of this.
I plan to buy a digital camera so that I can bring it all the time, even to class or just going out for a meal. It will be easier to carry along.
I really hope to have a chance to go to a beautiful place and take the photos of my friends there.
